We're searching for...

We’re currently visiting schools to support disadvantaged students in their journey to university. We've come across a few students who can't find a match on our platform at the moment. We’d love to match them to individuals who have share key characteristics with them, to provide them with the most relevant info possible.1. Jamal is a Black British student from a low-income household in North London, who wants to study Economics, at Cambridge.2. Redhe is a girl from an Indian background, and low-income family in North London, who’d like to study Computer Science at Cambridge. She’d be the first from her family to get into university.3. James is a student who’d be the first in his family to get into university. He’d like to study Economics at Cambridge. If you match any of those backgrounds (or know someone who does), they're waiting for you to show them the path!

The Knowledge Divide

My name is Josh, and I was lucky.Despite coming from Peckham, dealing with homelessness, and looking after sick parents, I was the first from my school to ever get into Oxford. How was I lucky? My new economics teacher had just transferred from the private school next door. And he’d taken their ‘How To Get Into Oxbridge Guide’. It had everything: example personal statements, recommended reading, a list of summer courses + more.It showed me exactly what I'd need to do to get in, so I got to work. This sort of luck is rare. There are so many who are willing, and able, to get into top universities, but are stopped by the knowledge divide

Knowledge is power. Let's redistribute it!

At Footprints, we’re on a mission to redistribute knowledge. We provide students with roadmaps to get into their dream university, written by successful applicants, who are from the same background as them. They can explore their extracurriculars, study techniques, and personal statements.Crucially, every roadmap is tagged with key demographic factors like socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and gender, to ensure that students can find info relevant to their own backgrounds i.e. how does a working class girl from South London get into STEM at Oxbridge. To get a better idea, check out my profile here
